Ansley is a member of the Seneca Nation Wolf Clan from the Seneca Allegany territory of Western New York. He is the Residence Hall Director of Akwe:kon and joined the American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program (AIISP) staff in Spring 2012. He is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he earned a degree in Communications while playing on the nationally ranked men's varsity lacrosse team. Additionally he has experience as a Haudenosaunee cultural interpreter and was a data analyst at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. In the past he worked extensively with Pueblo communities in Taos, New Mexico and did service teaching in São José Dos Campos, São Paulo, Brasil.

Ansley's research interests include American Indian and Indigenous studies, renewable energy, and sustainable choices for healthy living. In addition to working at Cornell, he is the Executive Director for the Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse program. To read more visit our staff page.
