Benjamin Oster, B.S. '17 M.Eng '18


Ben grew up in Scotch Plains, New Jersey and is currently pursuing a Bachelors and Masters in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a minor in American Indian Studies. He has been heavily involved with the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) since his first day at Cornell, serving three terms as the Cornell Chapter Co-President (2014-2017) and two terms as the Region 6 Student Representative (2015-2017). For his work with AISES, Ben was awarded the 2015 AISES Leadership Award and the 2016 Diversity Programs in Engineering Undergraduate Excellence in Leadership Award. Ben is also a member of NASAC, a tutor for the American Indian and Indigenous Studies Program, and a lead author of Cornell's Indigenous Peoples' Day Resolution. Outside of Cornell, Ben has interned at Northrop Grumman on the James Webb Space Telescope, and most recently at The Boeing Company on the 777X.
